1. Introduction

Sitting here looking out the window, it's very sunny. Rolling on to the longest day of the year, the garden is looking lovely. The vegetables are planted in our new raised beds and we are catching as many sun-rays as possible in the hammock. I hope you find the time to enjoy the summer.

2. News

Smg have still not managed to work with us on our marketing as they have merged with another organisation. It is OK, we are still generating interest in complementary therapy and the site gets many visitors. We are well placed and are working on improving the site wherever we can while aware that change for changes sake is daft. If you have any comments on what you think would work on the site that is not currently offered, please send to: Contact Us

We are also interested to hear from people with suggestions on how we can make our site more user friendly for the visually impared to keep in accordance with legislation, and to work with those who will use it to be better than legislation.

3. Make a difference

Here are some numbers quoted from Green Futures, May/June 2004 issue, Prime Numbers page7.
"Recycling just one tonne of paper (picture 100 bin bags full) saves 17 trees, 17,000 gallons of water and enough energy to heat the average home for six months. But the average family in the UK is still throwing out six trees of paper a year."

"Worryingly, the people interviewed in a recent UK survey had some pretty muddled ideas about renewable energy. Only 19% could name at least one type of renewable. 17% thought it involved 'recycling' and another 17% thought it was 'energy you can use again'. But 90% did seem to think it was 'a good thing'.

Renewable energy is energy created from a source that can be replaced readily. If anyone is not sure. Crops grown for bio-mass, trees grown for fuel and replaced with new trees for the future, wind turbine fuel, that sort of thing.

4. Book Review - Fear Busting by Pete Cohen

ISBN 0-00-715109-8

This book is fantastic for anyone with fear in their life (let's face it, that would be all of us). Practical and useful tips all through this book, give you plenty to think about. I like the suggestions to read the pages in different positions to break any negative patterns we have about doubt and fear of trying new things. I also love the very frequent quotes that are absolutely inspiring - I have written many down to use in my teaching. Buy it - now.
