Due in November will have some business and marketing ideas for therapists and
how to cut down on waste at Christmas.
Summer is over and the kids are back to school. The nights are drawing in and Christmas catalogues have already started piling up. But enough of that, as you will see by the book review, we have been practising living in the moment. The past is for reference, not residence so said a famous Olympic medallist at an inspirational seminar I went to recently. The summer found us at Gaunts House in Wimborne, Dorset teaching in a marquee with rain pelting down so hard I couldn't hear myself let alone anyone else. We had some time off and went to Rainbow camp on the Welsh border and had a whale of a time in a cow field for two weeks. Lots of relaxation, workshops, camp fires and drumming. Fantastic.

Start a compost heap - local councils usually can provide a bin that is reduced in price or sometimes even free. You will be amazed at how much you CAN put in and how much less rubbish you then throw out. A good tip is to have a small swing bin on a work surface in the kitchen near the sink for all the scraps and peelings from the house. Small garden waste and paper can all go in. If you have no use for compost or no room - why not share the bin with a friend or neighbour. The local council may know of a community composting scheme in your area. This book is all about 'How our mortality can teach us about Life and Living'. Both authors have extensive knowledge on working with the dying and the overall message from these people is the love in their life was more important than the office, keeping up with appearances, having a tidy house or any of the other things that we preoccupy our days with. Live today and don't put off being the person you are capable of. Deal with the self-made obstacles and learn to face the challenges of guilt, fear and grief. If we had a star rating system this would have all the stars in the box.
